#1 - Sell your stuff on eBay
If you have some stuff lying around that you don’t want or need anymore, put it up for sale on eBay. It’s an online auction site where people can buy and sell just about anything. And by anything, we mean a lot of weird stuff that sometimes doesn’t even make sense! Have old video games? Want to get rid of that bookshelf or lawn furniture? You can sell it all on eBay. Just set up a free account, list your items, and get started earning money—the rest is easy! If you prefer not to deal with customers directly (and believe us, most buyers aren't looking for customer service), check out shopping aggregator sites like Wanelo or Polyvore.
#2 - Become a virtual assistant
Becoming a virtual assistant is a great way to make money online right now. Many companies hire virtual assistants from around $15-$20 per hour, but you can easily charge more for your services. As long as you have decent communication skills and are willing to dedicate at least two hours of your time daily, you can become an online virtual assistant and make money fast. If you're interested in becoming a virtual assistant, read our step-by-step guide on how to become one!
#3 - Offer online tutoring services
Teaching online is one of my favorite side hustles, because it doesn't take any additional time or resources. If you're knowledgeable about a topic (especially tech subjects), there are a ton of websites that will pay for someone to teach their students. You can advertise your services directly on these sites or contact them via email. Here's an example from Web Designer Depot who specializes in teaching clients how they can go about creating and building their first website!
#4 - Start an Etsy store
If you have a knack for handmade or vintage items, consider setting up an Etsy store. While Etsy is geared more toward arts and crafts sellers, there are plenty of other genres available, too. Just take a look at Industrial or Graphic Design. The company takes a commission of every sale your products generate – usually around 15%. To get started, you’ll need to first sign up on Etsy. Then you can purchase samples from vendors via Etsy's site (there are a number of free resources available via Google). Once you find something you're interested in - whether it's clothing or accessories - contact your vendor directly and ask when they'll be bringing their wares to an event like Craft Fair.
#5 - Create and sell your own products
Selling your own product is another great way to make money online. You can create your own, such as an ebook or computer software. Or you can create a service. For instance, if you know how to coach tennis, you could start a website and sell lessons online. Like a physical product, creating a digital product takes time and resources upfront before it can begin bringing in income. Once finished, you'll need to market it somehow so that people will find it and buy it. But once created, it can be sold over and over again for perpetuity - just like any other information product on earth!
#6 - Create downloadable eBooks
A lot of people want to make money online, but a large percentage of them don’t want to work hard at it. They may say they are going to write a book or start a new website, but then they get overwhelmed with all of the work that goes into creating that business from scratch. If you are good at writing and making videos, you can create an eBook or other digital content that is unique and valuable for businesses looking for information about a certain topic. Rather than simply selling your eBook (as you would on other websites), use it as a lead magnet in order to attract visitors and customers.
#7 - Write blog posts for other people
If you're a good writer, look for opportunities to do freelance work. Many bloggers and website owners are willing to hire guest writers to help them with content creation. As long as you have experience writing articles and/or ebooks, there's usually an opportunity somewhere that will pay you cash if you can produce results. The easiest place to start looking is FlexJobs or Upwork. There are literally thousands of jobs available right now!
